Today we learnt bout concrete, Matt took us to the classroom upstairs and we watched a video about What is concrete and what its uses is and how its made.
then after that we had smoko for 10 mins. then afterwards we went too the eshed then meet up then after we went to the concrete site higgans, met Aron Curry(name of person that show us round the concrete plant. he explained What the ingredients of concrete is,what is aggregate the main ingredient for concrete. showed us how to do a slump test, then showed us round the rest of the plant.
then after that we went back too ucol to the eshed and mark went over things from the plant and answered all the questions we had.
then mark explained the hazards and health and safety to us.
then we had lunch break for an hour then we read a booklet about foundations and levels and mark explained them and showed us how to use a builders level.
these picture are for the concrete at higgins concrete plant. they showed us how they worked and what they do they also showed us where the concrete waste goes too and the testing like slump test.. water reducing tests.
