we went too the river at 10am in the morning and we did a straight line cross section contour set out...tools we used was pegs set out at 5m up, sledge hammer to hit in pegs plumb,measuring tape to measure pegs at 5m for each one and too measure pegs accurately,builders level to take measurements and so we could take measurements we used the builders rule while doing that we wrote measurements down.
then when we got back too ucol after that we had lunch break...then we come back to the eshed and matt showed us how too fill out a feild book and then we did a straightline cross section contour graph.

 this picture shows how too calculate the back site with the fore site, then how to calculate rise and fall which is the overall measurements for the back site and fore site, then we calculated the reduced level which is the overall total for the rise and fall measurements...then after that we add all three columns to get the overall totals for them and all three total were the same.
